JEWELRY CARE
The majority of our jewelry is made with stainless steel, making your MI SOL jewelry durable, and tarnish free, and safe to wear for sensitive skin. Your jewelry can come into normal contact with sweat, water, and gentle soap with no issues. As with any jewelry, we do advise to use caution and avoid applying perfumes, lotions, gels directly onto your jewelry. To keep your jewelry looking its best, please see below for how we recommend you look after your MI SOL pieces.
HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY JEWELRY?
To clean, sweep a soft cloth over your jewelry. You can also rinse your jewelry from time to time to remove any build up of lotions, oils, perfumes with a gentle, nonabrasive soap and rinse with clean water. Then dry with a clean, soft cloth. We recommend that when not in use, store your jewelry in their jewelry bags.
WILL MY JEWELRY RUST OR OXIDIZE?
Stainless steel Mi Sol pieces will not rust or oxidize as this is a durable metal that does not react with oxygen like other metals do.
For gold and rose gold pieces, keep in mind that our base metal, stainless steel, has a darker, bluish tint than other white metals and will reflect more black. This does not mean that your jewelry has tarnished.
Sterling silver Mi Sol pieces may oxidize if not given proper care due to the delicate nature of the metal.
CAN I SHOWER IN MY JEWELRY?
Yes, however if your jewelry comes in contact often with sweat, soaps, gels, perfumes, and lotions, we recommend rinsing your jewelry with clean water to prolong the finish so that it doesn’t have to work as hard to fight the chemicals and acids.
We do not recommend that you shower with sterling silver pieces as this may shorten the life/luster of the gold plating.
WILL MY JEWELRY SCRATCH?
In heightened activity, micro scratches can develop that will contribute to less longevity. Wear gloves when lifting weights. We recommend refraining from rigorous contact with hard, rough surfaces and loofahs and dish sponges to prolong shine and luster.
